I will be very honest with this.
I like it.
But that's not all. This will probably be one of the last backgrounds I truly try to paint. I have come to the conclusion this is not my style of drawing. I don't like painting lineless backgrounds, I always resort to using brushes, and it irritates me. As much as I love how I drew this, it doesn't fit my way of drawing one bit.
From now on, the backgrounds I'll draw will most likely have a penciled OR linearted look. I can deal with soft-ish shading, but I just can't stand the lineless drawings. And after three years of trying to paint like this and hating it, I think it's best I put away the lineless backgrounds and start grinding my way to the linearted ones.
Anyway, this was majorly inspired by *TaffyTale's art. It's always so bright and colourful, it makes me dream every time <3
This is one of the areas of Zanarkand's dimension. One is the plains, one is the ruins and one has a large sea. It's a fairly small dimension, considering it's for Sacred creatures only.
Yeah, Zan didn't last long there.
